Pets as Therapy

workshop is delivered on a Friday to specific students, on a 1:1. The aim of Dog Therapy UK is: we deliver Dog Assisted Creative Psychotherapy to young people between the ages of 4 - 18, to address the need for therapeutic intervention in schools at an affordable price. With a growing level of SEMH and SEND students within mainstream schools, we work with students with a variety of needs and conditions to assist in improving self esteem, confidence, awareness, behaviour, attendance and overall school morale. We combine dog therapy with creative modalities so that every student is able to access the service, no matter what their preferred method of communication is.

Below is the Therapeutic Modalities which is followed during the sessions to identify the level of support which is offered to the child.
